MGMT – Business Report: Cross-Cultural Differences in Leadership Assume that your boss (real or imagined) has asked you to prepare a formal business report on Cross-Cultural Differences in Leadership which will be shared at the next executive meeting. In this report they want to see well documented information on the ways cross-cultural differences affect leadership in the 21st century. Your report should contain two parts: General part, which evaluates some frameworks and models dealing with cross-cultural differences (e.g. Hofstede framework, GLOBE study, etc.); identifies and examines current trends and issues of intercultural communication. In order to get A and B-level grades, you must demonstrate knowledge of frameworks and studies beyond the content of the textbook. Specific part, which evaluates how cross-cultural differences influence the performance of a particular company with specific examples. This part should be written in a problem-solution format and end up with set of practical recommendations relevant to the company. If you are employed, you can choose the company you work for and build your report on internal documents and your personal observations. In case you have no work experience, you have to choose one of the existing well-known companies and base your analysis on data available in open sources. Requirements: Write the paper using APA style with 6-8 citations and references in addition to the textbook, including several peer reviewed references. All sources must have: authors, publication dates, and publishers. “Anonymous” authors, undated sources will not be accepted as valid sources and marks will be deducted. The paper should be at least 2500 words, should follow a formal business report format, including an introduction, main body, conclusion and recommendations, and must exhibit good writing, research, and analytical skills. Report should be written in the formal style: avoid using first-person pronouns and sharing personal experience for this assignment; concentrate on making your ideas coherent, relevant and convincing. Submit your paper via Turnitin before the due date; late submissions are penalized by 10%/day This assignment holds a value of 20% of your final mark.
