Answer) An internal consultant is a specialist engaged to address an issue within a company and execute measures in attempt to enhance the organisation ‘s efficiency. An internal consultant draws specialised leadership consulting knowledge and skills to enhance the corporation ‘s productivity. He or she tends to work inside the organisational framework to rectify company problems and execute alternatives in organisational success, long term planning, or process enhancement, and acts as a change advisor, trainer, instructor, or implementer inside of the firm (Barnes & Scott, 2012). Internal consultants have a greater grasp of the company they assist since they are more familiar with its environment and traditions. The majority of internal consulting staff are concentrated on the organization’s inner issues, such as increasing productivity. The internal consultants give value to the business by providing up to date and innovative thinking, managing risks associated with the projects, keeping a time scale to develop a project, identifying solutions to the problems and suggest a specific course of action and are always focused on customizing (Nayyar, January 12, 2022, Zoom). For instance, IT consultants are more focused on customizing a particular application or software. External consultants are on contract basis and additional cost is also there in hiring process.
